In the Mood for Japanese Food?
There are two exceptional Japanese restaurants here in Valencia: Nozomi Sushi Bar and Hikari Yakitori Bar. Both in the more underground and cool Russafa neighborhood.
Nozomi Sushi Bar
Nozomi gets a 10/10 from me, I always have a great time here and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Valencia and craving Japanese food. The décor is lovely, the food is divine, the staff are so friendly and not to mention the delicious saki which rounds everything off just perfectly. It’s on the more expensive side but it is worth every penny.
Nozomi is a popular destination and so be sure to call ahead and book in advance.

Hikari Yakitori Bar
Hikari Yakitori is an authentic joint that specializes in individual skewer dishes, and great saki. I love coming here, the atmosphere is so relaxed and along with the décor, it feels very Japanese. The food is delicious, it’s relatively inexpensive and the service is spot on, what more can you ask for?
